Upper Deck Welcomes Hockey Prodigy Michael Misa

Upper Deck, a key player in the sports collectibles industry, has made headlines by announcing an exclusive partnership with Michael Misa, a young prodigy making waves in junior hockey and expected to be a top pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. At just 15 years old, Misa received “Exceptional Status” for the 2022-23 season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), making him only the sixth player in the league’s history to earn this prestigious designation. Now 17, Misa boasts accolades such as the OHL Rookie of the Year title and the esteemed Emms Family Award.

Jason Masherah, the President of Upper Deck, shared his excitement about teaming up with Misa, expressing the company’s eagerness to craft and distribute a one-of-a-kind collection of memorabilia and trading cards dedicated to the rising star. This collection aims to provide fans with innovative ways to celebrate Misa’s promising career, incorporating both physical and digital mediums.

Among the exclusive memorabilia available to fans are autographed game-used pucks from Misa’s time with the Saginaw Spirit, prints of his #77 jersey, and signed jerseys capturing pivotal moments from his early career. In addition, Upper Deck has introduced three Game Dated Moments trading cards on UpperDeckEpack.com, commemorating milestones in Misa’s journey such as his #1 pick status in the 2022 OHL Priority Draft, his debut goal, and his Rookie of the Year triumph. A special incentive awaits the first 25 collectors to complete the card set, who will receive an autographed version of Misa’s Rookie of the Year award card, available for purchase until February 22.

Excited about joining the ranks of Upper Deck’s elite athletes like Wayne Gretzky and Connor McDavid, Misa conveyed his enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the significance of this collaboration in realizing his childhood aspirations and connecting with fans through shared experiences. This collaboration not only celebrates a budding talent in the hockey realm but also upholds Upper Deck’s tradition of engaging fans with their sports idols through inventive and captivating collectibles.
