Bobby Witt Jr.’s Creative Wedding Invitations

Bobby Witt Jr., the talented shortstop for the Kansas City Royals, recently showcased his love for baseball in a unique and creative way as he prepares for his upcoming wedding. The professional athlete and avid collector decided to merge his passions by using custom baseball cards to invite his teammates to be his groomsmen on the big day.

Teammate MJ Melendez had the pleasure of receiving one of these special invitations, which was unveiled in a video posted by card shop Pullwax on October 29. The custom “Topps Bobby Witt Jr. Groomsman Card” was beautifully encased in a PSA 10 slab and featured a photo of the two players celebrating during a game in 2022. With only two cards in existence, the invitation became an ultra-rare piece of memorabilia, adding a special touch to the occasion.

The back of the card included a heartfelt message from Witt himself, expressing his gratitude and excitement for having his teammates by his side on his wedding day. The personalized approach of using custom baseball cards as invitations brought a fresh and unique twist to the traditional wedding invite, perfectly reflecting Witt’s deep connection to both baseball and collecting.

This creative gesture is just one of the many ways in which Bobby Witt Jr. has stood out this year. Just a month before his wedding, Witt achieved a significant milestone in his career by winning his first Silver Slugger Award. With his talent on the field and his creativity off it, Witt continues to make a mark in the baseball world.

The innovative use of custom baseball cards as wedding invitations not only showcases Witt’s love for the game but also his attention to detail and thoughtfulness in even the most personal moments of his life. It’s clear that Bobby Witt Jr. is not only a star on the field but also in his unique approach to sharing important moments with those closest to him.
